For an intimate comedy night in the heart of Redfern, look no further than Eveleigh Comedy at The Eveleigh Hotel. Walking distance from Central Station, UTS & The University of Sydney, come see 6 great acts perform longer sets hosted by Daniel Muggleton.

There’s a free show on the last Sunday of every month, featuring great comics in a casual setting that means sets are raw and unpolished in the best possible way. Get to see awesome comedians work through material from 7:30pm, but get there early as it’s usually packed.

It’s kind of low-key, so only tell your coolest friends. 158 Abercrombie St, Redfern. Shh.

High above The Forresters, every Wednesday night you can check out some of the best comedians from Sydney - and around the world - at Treehouse Comedy! It’s the first professional room from Mug & Kettle Comedy and has become a staple of the Sydney scene over the last two years.

Hosted by Daniel Muggleton and Marty Bright, there’s a great line-up of locals and headliners from around the world. Past headliners include Matt Okine, Rhys Nicholson, Becky Lucas & George Zach (UK). Plus, you never know who might drop in, including the likes of Dave Hughes, Dave Thornton, Neel Kolhatkar & many more!

Located right in the heart of Surry Hills in Sydney, just off Crown Street - come see some great comedians while enjoying table service and $12 gourmet pizzas all night!

Sydney’s original sign-up on the night open mic comedy night. While touring New York City, Daniel Muggleton saw the best way to guarantee stage time for up-and-coming comics at the fabled The Creek & The Cave comedy club. 4 minutes stage time guaranteed, with the order drawn from a hat and a fearless MC to tie the whole thing together.

That was in 2013, and we’re barely missed a week since - in addition to numerous other comedy rooms in Sydney, and Australia, adopting the same model. We’ve also had some pretty notable drop-ins over the years with Dave Hughes, Tony Woods, Wil Sylvince, JJ Whitehead and Hannibal Buress (the show was over, but we’re counting it).

Now under the stewardship of Tom Sanderson & Alfie Cannock. It’s the only place in Sydney to see 40 comedians for free every Single Wednesday from 7:30pm - now at B.E.D: Beats, Eats, Drinks in Glebe.
